Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the tech love of my life – the Samsung Galaxy S7!

GALAXY S7 UNBOXING: MEET THE ACCESSORIES

Let’s cut to the chase real quick because I am eager to show off the S7. Inside the box is business as usual. You have a USB OTG adapter, the techies in the house would understand the importance of this tiny creature.

Second is the beautiful earphones perfectly designed for your ears

You have your charging cable and power brick, by the way, the power brick is Samsung’s Adaptive Fast Charging brick that supports two voltages with different amps.

MEET THE S7: THIS IS ONE BOO THAT WON’T GET ANOTHER BOO, AT LEAST FOR NOW

I  can’t contain my happiness right now,  without further ado, I want you to meet the Samsung Galaxy S7 – the 5.1-inch device with a super AMOLED QHD screen and a Pixel density of 577ppi that swept me off my feet. I have the Black Onyx color variant which is a more attractive looking color.

Check out the 360° view below, you can also drag the image to see the angles (P.S: This is a first on MissTechy, I hope you like it )

WHY DOES BAE FEEL SO GOOD?

At first glance, you will notice that the S7 has a metal and glass bodywork that makes the device feels so great in the hand, like really great. However, thanks to its increased battery size (3000mAh), the S7 has gained a bit of thickness and weight, weighing 152g.

32gb ROM + 200GB EXPANDABLE MEMORY IS NOT A JOKING *STUFFS*

Yes, the SIM tray has a Nano-SIM card and SD card slot placed on top of the S7, you also have a second mic.

Despite knowing it had a microSD card slot, I couldn’t stop myself from grinning when I saw the SD card slot which is expandable to 200GB. (Remember that this is one feature that was lacking in the S6)

ONE WORD – SLEEK!

On your right is the power button

DSC_1553 copy

While the left side houses the unique volume buttons – unique because instead of one long volume button, you have two volume buttons that also serve as a camera button

When you look underneath, you see the speaker grill, USB charging port, and your 3.55mm audio jack

BAE’s BEHIND IS A KILLER

The Samsung Galaxy S7’s behind is definitely a killer, this is as a result of its glass finishing, curved back and a new 12MP camera, down from the 16MP on its predecessor, but filled with larger pixels and a technology called dual pixel autofocus.

Also, the camera bump has been greatly reduced – a much welcome development. Don’t forget that the S7 has a non-removable battery

ALL OTHER GOOD STUFF

The Galaxy S7 is one sexy Mamacita, blame it on the curves and the fact that you can make it wet any time of the day thanks to its IP68 certification that allows it to be protected from dust and water. ( You can literally put the device in water for about 30 minutes and not fear a thing)

DSC_1887 copy

The Galaxy S7 has a home button that serves as your fingerprint sensor and Capacitive Buttons that lit up anytime you unlock or touch it.

The front of the device houses the 5MP camera (a major badass!), the proximity and light sensors are also found on the top left of the device (next to the notification LED).

CONCLUSION: I HOPE YOU HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE.

Having met BAE, trust me to tell you that you will feel good spending that cash to get one. Of course, this is my first impression and there are compulsory tests I must carry out, but something tells me the Galaxy S7 would not disappoint.

Right now, you can pre-order the device by clicking here

In the meantime, what do you think of BAE and what would you like to see in the full review?

      Nice review Tobi.

      What’s with d capcha tobi!!!

    17. Noni says:

Don’t mean to put a damper on this, but I’m not feeling this phone. I looked at the S6 Edge and said “wow!” but this is just “meh” to me.

Maybe I’ve become impervious to a brand name or a pretty phone. Or specs and looks just don’t do it for me. I’m more interested in what the real world review has to say.

      1. Pelumi says:

You would have to wait for that one. Misstechy please try out the water test.

    18. Anonymous says:

I ve been reading about this phone for the past 1month following all the blogs i can find and from comments i ve read the phone meets d daily needs of many people and iphans apple blogs are already looking for means of bashing the device (BGR and imore blogs) but the general publuc applauds samsung for this device especially the edge variant. Heard its selling really well. Tmobile did underwater unboxing of the device that got me shouting. The phone is soooo tight that under water u can use it. The ip68 was well implemented…no flaps to cover ports and best of all it reminds you not to plug the charger when the charging port is still wet from water splash or use. I will say this is almost a near complete phone for me. Samsung is on the right track. Few adjustments on the software dpt and provision of timely os updates will see them lead the pack as they used to. Miss techy pls can u research on xiaomi mi5 for us especially if it will see naija market. The phone has some nice flagship specs at midrange price.

      1. Kay says:

Xiaomi’s Mi 5 is freaking awesome. Honestly I’m feeling that device more than sammy’s S7/S7edge.

Reason being that they both have the same awesome 820 chipset, premium finishing (Mi is ceramic, my gosh!) but the Mi sells for over half the price of s7!

Too bad it won’t be hitting the Nigerian market even six months from now. Why?

        Well see this: http://techcabal.com/2016/03/17/xiaomi-and-mi-fone-are-fighting-for-mi/

    19. Rapheal says:

      Nice review aunty Tobi..

    20. Gadtech says:

      Nice smartphone.

    21. onotu Paul says:

Please help! I missed the marshmallow Ota update for infinix note 2. How do I get it again

    22. ken A says:

All said and done, the price will be the determining factor. Nothing about the pricing. Highly doubt the comments here ll actually buy

    23. Anonymous says:

SD card slot which is expandable to 200GB, That is one hell of improvement, i must confess.

      Hmm… 200gb? *speechless*

    25. Sir Stevoe says:

      I’m Impressed. Yes.

    26. showiz says:

    27. KingAbsolute says:

I’m impressed, Samsung is really bringing the competition to apple. The way you unbox, I fell in love with the device too. Bit by bit you unveil the sexiness.

Would like to see a battery & camera test.

    28. Samm says:

      Nice review..
Can you do a review on the S7 edge..?

    29. Henry says:

Really awesome device, the s7 edge is a sure win over the s7.

    30. Omolade Kuponiyi says:

This is my first read after I met you and I must confess that you can practically pull the cash out of one’s pocket. Great work. I am impressed. Keep the fire burning.

    31. ayomikun says:

Cool review …as always …I’m a big fan of miss techy but i just find it stressful to comment… Please can you do the review of the infinix hot3 when its out …would really appreciate it…

    32. Aiykay says:

I saw the water test….a guy actually washed it with running water from a tap for more than a minute….
This is a “let’s go swimming” gadget

And I am so sure s8 is coming soon…
And you’ll get a new bae plus an ex…Tobi
