Problem: Xiaomi’s Smartphone Sales are Falling. Solution: COME TO NIGERIA!!

Based on a new report by Reuters, Xiaomi’s smartphone sales have been declining.

Shocking, right?

I mean, who wouldn’t want this beauty?

However, as shocking as it may sound, the market estimates revealed that the company’s sales went down by 25% compared to the same time last year. Shipments have also declined to 38% in Q2, 2016.

I wonder why the company hasn’t made a serious effort in bringing their smartphones to this part of the world, considering the fact that Nigeria played a key role in the growth of Tecno and Infinix.

On the flip side, Xiaomi is not perturbed by the recent decline in sales. According to Xiaomi’s global vice president Hugo Barra via Reuters

“Basically we’re giving [handsets] to you without making any money… we care about the recurring revenue streams over many years. We could sell 10 billion smartphones and we wouldn’t make a single dime in profits,” he added.

Creating history... One review at a time.

… WELL, FOR EVERY COMPANY, THEIR COMES A TIME WHEN SALES WILL PLATEAU AND ITS WHAT XIAOMI IS EXPERIENCING NOW. HUGO BARRA IS BEING DUBIOUS BY SAYING THEY AREN’T FEELING IT. THEY SHOULD TRY PENETRATE THE SECOND BIGGEST SMARTPHONE MARKET (INDIA) AND COUNTRIES LIKE INDONESIA, NIGERIA, KENYA AND SOUTH AFRICA. IF THEY DON’T RAMP UP SALES BEFORE THE END OF FIRST QUARTER IN 2017,THE WMC MIGHT MAKE THINGS WORSE FOR THEM…

Xiaomi phones are awesome, everybody have been hoping they enter Nigeria.

Its not just by entering Nigeria, its by minimizing the cost, with current situation, people will rush it. Sales increase.

    9. Kelvin says:

I’ve never used a Xiaomi phone, prolly cus they’re very costly.

But for their sales to be dropping, means they’re not marketing their products well.

They need to go out to other countries. Just look at how Gionee has made a name for themselves in Nigeria. Hugo needs to think.

      1. Udegbunam Chukwudi says:

Xiaomi very costly?! Bros check well oh. They are the king of cheap quality cell phones. They have poor man phone as well as rich man own. You pick your level and enjoy 😀

        1. Tee says:

    10. Oj_Ina says:
