Would You Post Your CV on Facebook? Facebook Tests a CV Feature (To Probably Take On LinkedIn).

Facebook wants to have it all!

After announcing a job posting feature earlier this year (Albeit not in this part of the world), Facebook is reportedly testing a feature that would allow you to upload your CV on Facebook just like you would on LinkedIn.

At the moment, it is possible for you to list your job history and education on Facebook, but the new feature will allow you to include more professional details without the need for recruiters to see your personal photos, status, and updates.

We are not sure when this feature would be available or the countries that would have access to it, but judging by the job posting feature that was rolled out in the US and Canada, it’s likely it won’t get to this part of the world at the onset.

Over to you, do you think this feature is needed on a platform like Facebook?

    1. Facebook doesn’t need this! You can’t be Snapchat, be Twitter, be LinkedIn and be Facebook at the same time. Facebook should stop trying to be like other social networks. Ko le werk!

      1. Adedapo olatunde, I agree .
They’ve been trying to copy others a lot, the fact that they are not being successful in copying is annoying.

Considering the number of people that use Facebook this is a good development. I see it taking in Linkedin in the nearest future.

… WELL, I WILL REALLY BE RESERVED TO SUCH. I REALLY WOULDN’T TRUST FACEBOOK WITH PERSONAL DATA. BUT LET’S SEE IT GET TESTED BY THE TECH GUINEA PIGS FIRST…

Mr. Mark wants to have everything indeed, for me I don’t like it, I think it should be left for LinkedIn, they know hoe to handle it pretty well

Believe me, I don’t think this feature should be included, as we all know, their are so much scammers online, even on Facebook. This idea is a risky one, I don’t buy it.

I suggest setting up a different Facebook page with only the data you want the prospective employer to see. Would this work? – you could have different ‘private details’ email etc that only the target employer would see – hide your unsavoury side! Set up extra gmail account.
