Photos Uploaded to Facebook Messenger Are About to Get a Facelift, But…

I don’t use Facebook Messenger (Whatsapp does it for me), but for the hundreds of millions of people who do, the company has added support for up to 4K photos on Facebook Messenger, that’s a step up from the previous “2K” resolution.

At the moment, only users in the United States, Canada, Australia, France, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea can send these photos, but in the coming weeks, Nigerians would be able to send and receive photos of up to 4K resolution or  4,096 x 4,096 pixels per image, which is the highest quality that many smartphones currently support.

Of course, the update will be well received, given that more than 17 billion photos are sent through Messenger every month. But the question is, do you take pictures in 4k with your phones?

… WELL, I DON’T HAVE A PHONE THAT CAN SHOOT IN 4K AND THE BAD PART IS THAT, THE UPDATE WILL COME WITH OTHER STABILITY IMPROVEMENTS AND YOU KNOW HOW LARGE UPDATE TO FACEBOOK’S APPS CAN BE.
FOR THOSE WHO CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS, GOOD FOR THEM…
