I am sure Windows users are feeling smug with this news.
I am sorry Mac users, but our haven has been destroyed.
One thing that sets the Mac users apart from the heathen is the fact that we encounter little or zero virus/malware attack. From my personal experience, I can do whatever I wanted and not feel the need to scan the files or links I am downloading, simply because, it is a Macbook. Remember #Odeshi?
Sadly, according to a new cyber-security report from the Bit9 + Carbon Black Threat Research team, In 2015 alone, the number of OS X malware samples has been five times greater than in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 combined.” What this means is that so far in 2015, there have been 948 types of malware found on Apple’s OS X operating system. That’s five times as many types of malware found in Macs in the prior five years combined.
The malware rise is also due to the fact that there is now an increased Macbook purchase.
To keep your precious and expensive MacBooks safe, you’d have to go the Windows way, install a very good Antivirus and ensure it is up to date.
Windows users, you are not permitted to gloat -_-
