HP’s First Windows 10 Smartphone Is Everything The Lumia Phone Isn’t

Goodness! HP just won me over with this move.

Meet HP Elite X3, the Phone, the PC and the spec-crazed device that is about to take on the competition.

The 5.96-inch device (Huge, right?) is powered by Windows 10 Mobile and comes with a 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor, a 4GB RAM, and a 64GB ROM – To seal this, it has a microSD card slot expandable to 2TB.

There is more! You have a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, a USB Type-C, a fingerprint sensor and iris scanner and an IP67 rated which allows you to immerse the phone in water for up to 30 mins.

To knock out the competition, it has a massive 4150mAh battery and a Continuum support that will allow the phone act as a traditional Windows 10 computer although you need two accessories – the HP Desk Dock and HP Mobile Extender – to make this happen.

  • 5.96-inch QHD (2,560×1,440) AMOLED display (492ppi)
  • 16-megapixel rear camera; 8-megapixel front-facing camera
  • 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor
  • 64GB of internal storage; 4GM of RAM
  • 4,150mAh nonremovable battery
  • MicroSD card slot for up to 2TB of additional storage
  • USB Type-C
  • IP67 water-resistant
  • Fingerprint sensor and iris scanner
  • FIPS 140-2 cryptography; 128-bit key Unified Image Encryption, 256-bit key Full Disk Encryption
  • Windows 10 Mobile software

Fellas, this is what we are talking about right here, this device with all its specgasm is enough to convert me to a Windows believer.

Even though no price tag is stated, you should expect it to be huge,

Awesome spec for a Windows device! Even Nokia/Microsoft couldn’t pull this off..buh it’s gonna be quite expensive tho. Nice one HP

    2. Noni says:

HP has pulled it off because they are computer people entering the mobile phone world. And this is basically a computer in the form of a phone.

Microsoft doesn’t have that kind of forward thinking.

… Well, this is what we are saying, you can’t be lacking in two main stays of phone marketability (Specs & Apps) and expect good sales. H. P just killed it! Bravo, send Microsoft phones to the dry cleaners. Even though, I will always prefer the android side of the game, I can still be tempted with this for official use instead of a blackberry…

      Amazing phone from LG.

I love the 8-megapixel front camera, fingerprint sensor, iris scanner, IP67 rated and over 4000mAh battery.
