Slow Internet? No Problem! Google Officially Launches Google Go in Nigeria to beat Slow Internet Speed.

Ever used a smartphone with 1GB of RAM and say 8GB of storage? Then you’d understand the struggle with RAM and storage management.

Google understands the challenges hence the reason for applications like Files Go and YouTube Go, but they are not stopping at that! Today, Google officially launched Google Go into the Nigeria market —an app that provides a lighter, faster, way to search, with everything you need just a tap away.

The aim is to handle the challenges preventing people from getting the most out of the internet such as weak data connectivity, high data costs, and low RAM or storage space.

With Google Go, you can easily search for information or see what’s trending in your country, there is also the discovery widget where you can access all your favorite apps and websites with just the tap of a button.

Like I said, this app has been built to work with the slowest of internet —even in data-saving mode or on 2G connections—to put that into perspective, Google says, the app uses up to 40% less data to display search results. There is also the fact that the search results are cached on your device so you can quickly re-access previous searches, even when you are offline.

Sounds interesting, right?

Now here’s another interesting fact, I find myself using Google Go more than the inbuilt Google app.

You can download the app (using this link Google Play Store) and let me know if you feel the same way.
