Last year, UBA unveiled Leo, (the first AI-powered chatbot in banking in Africa) on WhatsApp and Facebook. This time, they took things a bit further by integrating Leo with Apple Business Chat. What that means is that you can now communicate directly with Leo, using the messaging app on your iPhone or iPad devices.

LEO is live in English on the IOS platform, and by the end of October, it will be live in other languages. As you know, LEO is already on WhatsApp and Facebook in English, French, Portuguese and Swahili languages.””
To use on your iPad or iPhone devices, all you have to do is to click the “chat with messages” button on UBA’s website or in your mobile banking app:
From there a conversation with LEO will open instantly in the Messages app, and you can chat with him like you would your friend. As for what Leo can do on iMessage? Virtually everything! For example, you can open an account using the iMessage app, you can also buy airtime, check account balance, make account transfers and even pay your bills.
Asides from chatting with Leo, customers can always reach a live person and are always in control of whether they share any contact information with a business.
