Another day, another security flaw.
This time, the flaw was found in Chrome’s implementation of the FileReader API — this API allows websites and other web-based services to read files stored on user’s computers or devices. However, hackers are now using it to break out and execute potentially malicious code on your devices, these include both Desktop and Android platforms.
According to Google’s Chrome Security Lead, Justin Schuh:
Last week we got to deal with a real 0day chain and a faux 0day at the same time. I wonder which one will get more attention? 🤔 https://t.co/DfeyoB7geY
