So, like you’d expect, I followed the launch of the Note 9 on YouTube and for starters, the Note 9 comes in 2 variants, you have the 6GB of RAM /128GB of storage variant, and for those who like it beefy, there is the 8GB of RAM/ 512GB of storage version, plus an external MicroSD card slot on both versions!
In addition to that, you get a really colorful S-pen that features Bluetooth Low energy which turns the S-Pen into a magic wand:
So, you can use it for a number of things like launching applications, taking pictures, controlling your music player and even your presentations!
As far as the battery is concerned, they’ve leveled up!
You get a 4000mAh battery capacity, this is great because it separates itself from the S9 Plus which is at 3500mAh. Another thing that has been leveled up is the display, the Note 9 now comes in at 6.4-inch compared to 6.2-inch on the S9 Plus.
As for the camera, you still get dual aperture, but Samsung has added a couple of tweaks, though. For example, the Note9 comes with a “Scene Optimizer” that identifies the content of a frame to tweak camera settings. There’s also a new “Flaw Detection” that tells you if something might be wrong with a photo
Other features include:
- DeX without the dock. You only need an adapter and an HDMI cable to turn the Note 9 into a mini PC rather than a $69 accessory. The phone doubles as a touchpad.
- Water cooled. The Note 9 uses a “water carbon” cooling system to prevent overheating and deliver sustained high performance.
