The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is Finally Upon Us!

So, like you’d expect, I followed the launch of the Note 9 on YouTube and for starters, the Note 9 comes in 2 variants, you have the 6GB of RAM /128GB of storage variant, and for those who like it beefy, there is the 8GB of RAM/ 512GB of storage version, plus an external MicroSD card slot on both versions!

In addition to that, you get a really colorful S-pen that features Bluetooth Low energy which turns the S-Pen into a magic wand:

So, you can use it for a number of things like launching applications, taking pictures, controlling your music player and even your presentations!

As far as the battery is concerned, they’ve leveled up!

You get a 4000mAh battery capacity, this is great because it separates itself from the S9 Plus which is at 3500mAh. Another thing that has been leveled up is the display, the Note 9 now comes in at 6.4-inch compared to 6.2-inch on the S9 Plus.

As for the camera, you still get dual aperture, but Samsung has added a couple of tweaks, though. For example, the Note9 comes with a “Scene Optimizer” that identifies the content of a frame to tweak camera settings. There’s also a new “Flaw Detection” that tells you if something might be wrong with a photo

Other features include:

  • DeX without the dock. You only need an adapter and an HDMI cable to turn the Note 9 into a mini PC rather than a $69 accessory. The phone doubles as a touchpad.
  • Water cooled. The Note 9 uses a “water carbon” cooling system to prevent overheating and deliver sustained high performance.

I THINK (OF COURSE) THIS US THR BEST SAMSUNG’S PHONE 📱 TILL DATE AND I HOPE NOTE 7 WILL NOT REINCARNATE IN IT.
FOR THE PRICING, THE EXTRA GIGS IS AROUND 250 US DOLLARS 💵 THAT’S 372 GIGABYTES FOR 250 DOLLARS. ITS A NICE PRICE…

It’s actually 384 GB. That’s a lot of ufs storage for $250. Very tempting.

For the past 9 months I’ve endured not having an S pen phone. With 4000 mAh and improved S pen functionality in the Note 9 all other contenders for my “love” have fallen by the wayside. I discovered the Naija market is quite limited as to quality choices concerning mobile phones. With the Note 9 I’ll rejoin the Samsung family.

Great phone but I’m not impressed. Nowadays smartphones are getting more and more expensive for no significant improvements, I don’t think this will help Samsung improve their 2018 sales figures.
Let’s wait and see what Huawei has in store for us with the Mate 20 Pro (maybe more three cam magic, bigger battery, under-display Fingerprint scanner), just hoping they bring back the headphone jack and micro SD Card slot.

The phone is truly something else…every year I think to myself how in the world will Samsung come up with something noticeably better than what they have done this year and still they have always found an answer…can wait to see what they will murder us with next year the only thing I can predict is that it will be above 1000$..lol
