Yesterday, Twitter Inc. made some changes to its board of directors, one of which has got me so excited.
They announced the appointment of the Former Minister of finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, as a member of its board of directors. She was appointed alongside the former President of the World Bank, Robert Zoellick.
For those wondering, Twitter has three women on a board of 11 members, and Dr. Okonjo Iweala is the only Nigerian female there.
In her words:
“Twitter is a powerful platform that continues to be used as a strong connector for the global community, and I’m thrilled to be a part of the team. As we strive to build a better world for tomorrow, Twitter can amplify messages and drive critical conversations around today’s most important issues. I look forward to partnering with Twitter’s talented directors and leadership team as we work to leverage the power of Twitter for good.”
Congratulations Dr. Ngozi!
Nigeria doesn’t deserve this woman.
The Oza room trolls and overlords won’t like this .
Congratulations to her!
…WELL,I AM HAPPY AND THIS IS A TESTAMENT TO THE CAN DO SPIRIT OF NIGERIA 🇳🇬.
CONGRATS TO HER AND THE UGUASHI UKWU COMMUNITY…
This is great
And this should encourage our girls that they can do better with Technology instead of using bad ways
