One Word to Describe HTC's New Mid-range Devices?

Make that two words for me:

HTC has launched two new devices that bring the new 18:9 aspect ratio at a lower cost.

The only problem is that the devices remind you of Tecno’s Camon CM with the 720p display — the Desire 12 comes with a 5.5-inch HD screen along with a 13MP sensor at the back, 2GB of RAM (or 3GB) with 16GB of onboard storage that is powered by a MediaTek quad-core CPU.

Yup, no fingerprint sensor!
While the HTC Desire 12 Plus steps things up a little bit, it still comes with the same 720p resolution, but you get a dual camera setup at the back — 13MP and 2MP— along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 CPU that is paired with 3GBs of RAM and a fingerprint sensor.

The Desire 12 will set you back by €199 – N88,000, while the plus variant will cost about $249 — N110,024.
I don’t know about you, but I’d rather get a Nokia 6!

All this people are funny. HTC thinks we have such an amount to spend on mediocre phones when we have Tecno and Infinix devices that offer same and even more at half the price? Why not buy the Tecno Camon CM or wait for the Infinix Hot S3 to hit Nigeria? Their own na play. Make dem dey dia!

… WELL, IF HTC IS FALLING OFF, THESE PHONES ARE ONE OF TGE REASONS. I MEAN, YOU’RE NOT SAMSUNG OR APPLE, AND YOUR MIDRANGE DEVICES ARE THESE MEAN? CAN’T THEY SEE WHAT XIAOMI AND HUAWEI (WITH HONOR) DOING IN THE MIDRANGE SECTION OF THE MARKET? OF COURSE, ONLY A DIE HARD HTC FAN SHOULD PICK ANY OF THESE OVER NOKIA 6,OR THE XIAOMI AND HONOR SERIES IN THE SAME PRICE RANGE…

  7. I’ll take a Nokia 6 instead. RIP HTC
