Today, the world is celebrating women! So, it’s no surprise that brands are pushing women’s day themed campaigns. Take Google, for example, asides from creating a Google Play campaign to celebrate female developers, they’ve also created a Doodle sharing women’s stories and inviting contributions.
Then you have this campaign:
To celebrate Women’s Day, MTN launched a video on YouTube themed after the popular Wonder Woman Movie. However, this time, the wonder woman in question, is:
The woman/women in our lives.
Not only did the video show off the strengths of these women with words like:
You are Superwoman, you save the world time and time again.
You put out fires with your bare hands.
You end riots immediately with your X-Ray vision stare.
You feed a whole tribe from one tiny pot, and still find time to manage other nations.
You give all generations peace with the sound of your voice.
You never really sleep, you’re too busy making sure we’re okay and when the sun comes up back in the sky, it finds you at work asking it why it took so long.
It also gave them an important call to action:
In my opinion, this is one of the best women’s day campaigns I have seen from a tech brand in Nigeria, or what do you think?
