You Should Be Wary of These Fake Apps Currently Available On the Google Play Store.

Like fake news, we have fake apps — malicious applications that try to impersonate the real thing in every way possible. This time, the apps in question are from a company called DevTech Inc and it uses the names and logos of popular applications to fool unsuspecting users.

When you click on the developer’s link on the Google play store, you get to see malicious apps in the form of Avast, Waze, and IMO.

The funny thing is, their SEO game is top notch— these apps usually appear in the top 5 results on the Google play store.

Badass SEO!

Which makes me wonder how they got approved in the first place.

Pending the time Google deletes these apps, ensure you keep your device safe.
