Any Windows Phone Users Out Here?

For those who are still stuck on their Windows devices (Please tell me you have another device running Android or iOS), I have got bad news.

Microsoft has officially ended the mainstream support for Windows Phone 8.1.

(P.S. According to the Verge, 80% of all Windows-powered phones are still running Windows Phone 7, Windows Phone 8, or Windows Phone 8.1. And only 20 percent of all Windows phones are running the latest Windows 10 Mobile OS —  which doesn’t have a clear future, for now)

If you are part of the 80%, don’t panic! Because this doesn’t mean that your phone will stop working, it just means that you won’t get updates moving forward.

Which is not really a bad thing, especially when you consider the fact that a lot of Android phones (Yes, I am looking at you Tecno, iTel, InnJoo, and others) are still stuck with Android Lollipop in 2017.

What are Microsoft’s plans for Smartphones?
For now, I don’t know, although rumors have it that they might launch a surface phone. However, it’s obvious that phones might not be Microsoft’s forte, so, they should just stick to what they are good at! Biko

Now, this dead ass OS. Who cares really if Microsoft stops supporting it? It stopped supporting itself a long time ago.
I dropped, disenfranchised, disconnected, discontinued, disowned, renounced, repudiated, abolished, aborted, abandoned, terminated, called to a halt & got rid of this bag of sh!t OS quite a while ago & found for peace of mind ☮☯.
But it’s not all doom and gloom🔚⛈ for the big M’s mobile OS. In fact, after seeing CShell @ work, i think those Microsoft boys might be up to something (like inyanya & don jazzy)😒. You can see it for yourself if you haven’t already (link provided below). https://youtu.be/YNxtMtlrm6U
Like it’s said in the video, it’s pre-release software so you might want to forgive the ugly aesthetic. Now this coupled with UWP could make for a fun OS. They already know how to do exciting hardware. They just need an exciting OS.

they should have ended support for the older OSs long time ago. People with WPs should get on WM10-its better. I dont think windows phone is poor. Technically, its better that android. If only they had entered the mobile market earlier…microsoft would forever live with that regret. Waiting to see what they do next for mobile tho!

Even though it came 2 years later than Android, it was considered a more stable OS than Android. Like iOS @ d time, it didn’t have/need the marketing gimmick of ‘dual/quad core processors for a smoother UX’ that Android used to confuse everybody. Microsoft just weren’t able to convince developers to care for it (it’s not like Microsoft even cared for it).😕

This is exactly what happens when a software company decides to take on the smartphone industry and yet they fail to put into use the rudimental strategies to stay afloat on the industry.
To tell you the truth, lately, since after the days of Nokia and it’s lumia effect in the company I hardly hear about Microsoft in the smartphone industry.
Their phones are good, elegant but they don’t have what it takes to lure die hard Android and iOS users into their camp.
I don’t even think the surface phone can stir around their condition. They should just stick to the softwares they are good at.
Meanwhile, I write about Android phone tips and tutorials, check my recent post here::

… WELL, THE OS AND EVEN THEIR MOBILE 📱 DIVISION MAY SOON DIE OFF FINALLY. THIS IS BECAUSE MICROSOFT IS NOT COMMITTED TO THE OS AND THE REDMOND GIANT ONLY SELL PREMIUM WHEN IT COMES TO HARDWARE WHICH MAY NOT BE ABLE TO WRESTLE THE MARKET FROM SAMSUNG AND crAPPLE 🍏. MICROSOFT SHOULD JUST FORGET MOBILE 📱 OT USE THE BLACKBERRY/TCL OPTION…
