Transsion Holdings (Makers of Tecno, Infinix & iTel Phones) Produce 300,000 Phones Per Day.

For those who are not aware that Transsion holdings produce some of the most popular phones in Africa —Tecno, Infinix, and iTel, kindly wear your last man jacket with pride — Here is one
Anyway, according to a report by ChinaDaily, Transsion Holdings have a total production capacity of 300,000 phones per day.

A view of a phone factory in China.

As a matter of fact, they produced 79.91 million phones in 2016, alone!
To put this into context, Apple produced 137,000 per day in 2010 (They currently manufacture 540,000 units a day via WSJ).
According to Arif Chowdhury:

A decade ago, the sales were less than one million, mainly in India and Bangladesh. Transsion became successful only when it puts almost all of its attention on the African market.

Transsion in Africa is like what Nokia was in China years ago. Many people favor it over other phones,” said Chowdhury.
For a company to succeed, we need to find out what exactly people want. African users like selfies, multiple phone card slots, enabling local language, stable music function and longer battery life.”

You don’t need to be told that their Africa-focused strategy has really paid off!

If I’ll say, they don’t only soar in Africa because of the fact that they meet Africa’s need for selfies, multiple sims and battery, but rather *price range*.
People got to love this phones at instants for their price range. So they find the right phone of their taste in tally with their pocket.
    They are still growing oh…
