Err…. nTel Has Increased Its Data Rates.

Me, right now:

Because I believed an nTel personnel who told me last year that the rates won’t be increased. But nTel has pulled a Buhari on us. The Telco introduced new tariffs for its Smartphone data plans.
Here you go:

  • Smartphone Unlimited Monthly:  From N10,000 to N12,500
  • Smartphone Unlimited Weekly: From N3,000 to N3,750
  • Smartphone Unlimited Lite: From N1,000 to N1,500 weekly.

Yes, you will no longer pay N10,000 for nTel’s unlimited plan — sad, especially when I consider how bad their network has been these past few days. (It’s better now).
Would I still pay the N2,500 extra?

If you are like me who previously used MTN’s N22,000 unlimited data plan, then this increase might seem inconsequential. However, I can’t help but feel that this is the start of many increments — remember that MTN’s unlimited plan was previously at N11,000 before it was increased.

Lol. I stopped using my two NTEL lines months back. The network has been terrible for a long time in my location.

… WELL, I HAVE NEVER USED THE NETWORK FOR ANYTHING. BUT THE INCREMENT IS BASED ON WHAT? HERE IN NIGERIA, PEOPLE, COMPANIES AND BODIES INCREASE PRICES ANYHOW.
    SORRY O, MISS TÓBI AYẸNI…

  4. KingAbsolute says:

Why the increase? Let them not want us to pity them when they start losing customers. But it seems they’re still the cheapest and reliable after the increment.

well am not surprised, it has the standard operating procedure of Nigerian companies.
    1. start up with extremelylow prices
    2. lure the masses with extra-vagant bonuses
    3. finally hit the brakes and increase the price
