Nigerians Can Now Download Android Nougat On Their Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge Device.

Android Nougat is upon us, at least for those who have the Galaxy S7 or S7 edge in Nigeria.  Yesterday, I was able to upgrade my device to Android 7.0. The download process took about 30 minutes because the upgrade file was about 1.2GB in size. After upgrading, I noticed a slight lag, but everything returned back to normal after a few minutes.

When it comes to the changes, almost everything has been revamped; there is a new notification panel interface, plus Samsung also included private mode and the blue light filter.

You also get an improved multi-window experience, Android Nougat style.

There is a setting that allows you to change your display from HD, FHD, and WQHD, which can help save your battery. Samsung also included a utility that helps you to choose a preferred operating mode.

Lastly, the settings, calls, messages and a couple of stock android apps have also undergone a UI change.

I haven’t had any bad experience so far, but it’s too soon to tell.
UPDATE: Corrected an error with the display size.

Nice to hear it has hit Nigeria finally. Tested the beta sometime back though. Small correction though, I think you mean UHD not WHD.

This your pinkie beau tho, always flaunting…
The Nougat version, as far as I’ve gathered, is nice. But for some people like me, it would have been better with (or added) a darker interface (i.e. night mode).

I think almost all brands are late when it comes to providing update. Some will not even provide it at all, even in their flagship device.
