This Could Be the First 'Feature' Phone with 4G LTE Support.

Just imagine for one moment that the popular Nokia 3310 had VOLTE support?!

That would be rad, right?!
Well, Indian handset maker, Lava, might have just beaten Nokia to the punch. They have launched a feature phone — the Lava 4G Connect M1—touted as the first feature phone with VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) support in India. However, it might be the first feature phone with VOLTE support in the world (I could be wrong), because I tried searching for similar feature phones with no results.

The Lava 4G connect M1 has a price tag of Rs 3,000, approximately N16,000. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, has 512 MB RAM and comes pre-loaded with Facebook Lite and messaging applications.

Other specs include:
Lava 4G Connect M1 specifications

  • 2.4-inch (320 x 240 pixels) display
  • 1.2 GHz Quad-core Processor
  • 512 MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, expandable memory up to 32GB.
  • VGA Camera
  • Wireless FM, Box speaker and K class amplifier, Bluetooth
  • Torchlight
  • 4G with VoLTE (Voice over LTE)
  • 1750mAh battery

The question now is, do you really need a 4G-enabled feature phone? Knowing full well that it won’t offer you all the benefits that 4G LTE offers.

Hell no!…. for me, making this type of phone 4g enabled doesn’t really makes sense….The battery capacity it too poor to carry 4g network

…WELL,I WOULDN’T KNOW THE MAIN REASON FOR PUTTING THAT THERE. BRAGGING RIGHT MAY BE THE RIGHT PROBABILITY HERE. ALTHOUGH,I WILL FANCY MY CHANCES WITH IT IF THE OPPORTUNITY COMES…

I see no need to get 4g feature phone, it would not serve the purposes of having a 4g enabled phone.
But it might come in handy.
