Based on the latest rumors, it seems LG is set to recover all that was lost with the “I want to be different” strategy they employed with the LG G5.
First, they plan to launch their next flagship device way before the likes of the Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8 hit the stores. I am sorry, but this GIF came to mind ?
Also, LG is reportedly going back to the drawing board with the G6 since the G5 didn’t fetch them the expected revenues. With that said, the LG G6 might arrive completely ‘Friendless,’ aka, no modular design.
While this is a relief considering how expensive the modules were, it seems to also take away one thing that people love about LG phones — removable batteries.
Specs-wise, you might be getting a 5.3-inch Quad-HD display, similar to that of its predecessor, a Snapdragon 835 chipset, the presence of dual cameras and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Finally, the renders sport a USB Type-C port on the bottom edge and the use of highly reflective metallic material for the G6’s back panel.
As with any render, this should be taken with a grain of salt and pure water.
