It is no news that the Note 7’s reign is over! To salvage the situation, Samsung is now porting some of the Note 7’s best software features to the S7 series. So, if you own one, you might notice a software update rolling out that brings these features, which include the always-on display setting, along with customization options like showing a photo, choosing an analog or digital clock to be shown, and notifications.

Given that the S7 and the S7 Edge are the only high-end phones from Samsung in 2016, it makes sense that the company would want to showcase their best software features to make the S7 series as close as possible to the Note 7.
