Etisalat Increases the Price of Its Data Bundles Despite the Current Economic Crisis.

It appears that Etisalat has a weird way of competing with other Telcos; the company recently reviewed the price of its data plans, and like you must have figured out, it isn’t favorable to a lot of Nigerians considering the current economic crisis.

The revised data plans went from this:
1.5GB for N1000
3.5GB for N2,000
5GB for N6,500
8GB for N8000
10GB for N10,000
To this:

NEW ETISALAT DATA PLANS

1GB for N1000
1.5GB for N1200
1GB + 500MB night plan for N1000
2.5GB for N2000
3.5GB for N2500
2GB + 1.5GB night plan N2000
Bear in mind that Etisalat is best known for the quality of their services, but it would be safe to assume that this move might see them losing to Globacom who has one of the cheapest data plans in Nigeria

… WELL, IN ALL WAYS, I THINK THIS IS VERY VERY BAD FOR ETISALAT. FOR SANITY SAKE, HOW CAN YOU INCREASE YOUR PRICE WHEN OTHERS ARE COMPETING TO BRING THEIRS DOWN? IT NOT AS IF THEIR DATA SERVICE QUALITY IS OUT OF THIS WORLD! WHAT SORT OF NONSENSE IS THIS?…

Abeg where did you get this info? 2GB + 1.5GB night plan N2000
I think the move is to reduce the load on their network and improve on the service which deteriorated after they slashed their prices

Etisalat we know is not for everybody. They will surely have their own loyal customers. I respect their Faith. Its not easy to make hard choices. #itsallisay

In my opinion,i dont see internet speeds on both glo and etisalat as that different.I think people who really need to get stuff done online super fast should use 4G.Etisalat really just shot themselves in the foot by increasing their 3G data pricing pricing. With this,GLO NG literally has blown them out of the water.
By the way,glo 4G is up…looking forward to comparisms.

  9. Victor Molokwu says:

  11. KingAbsolute says:

Sorry etisalat, you’ve just lost a lot of data purchasing customers, you might’ve known this by now. Cheers!
