Despite The Hype, The iPhone 7 Still Got 3rd Place In DxOMark's Camera Tests.

It appears that the iPhone 7’s camera has a caveat.
The pros at DxOMark put it to the test, and while it did get an overall score of 86 which is quite high, it still landed the iPhone 7 in 3rd place, behind six other smartphones.

DxOmark noted that the iPhone 7 camera performed well in both outdoor and indoor scenarios, scoring high in detail preservation and image stabilization

They, however, noticed that the iPhone 7’s camera faltered slightly in low-light conditions.  Also, the phase detection AF wasn’t  completely repeatable in some cases with the LED flash producing dark corners. iphone7-dxomark-2
The two major devices that trumped the iPhone 7 include the HTC 10 and the Galaxy S7 Edge.

On the flip side, this result bodes well for the iPhone 7 Plus (Which they haven’t tested, yet) since it comes with dual cameras, a feature that should make it perform better than its sibling.
