A Look At Tecno Mobile's Latest Hack On Twitter

The latest hijacking of accounts, especially on Twitter might lead one to believe that the recent activities on Tecno Mobile’s page is “Just another successful hack attempt” or is it?
The company earlier today sent out several tweets:
A Twitter hack, right?
The only problem with these series of tweets is the fact that they are somehow tied to this hashtag #BeautyandBeast.
… And if you are thinking what I am thinking, then a PR stunt isn’t far from your thoughts.
If that were the case (Please don’t let it be), they’d have earned free PR, for one, they are currently trending, and already have at least one famous personality in Nigeria talking about it.
However, I reached out to Tecno Mobile, and they claim it was a hack attempt.?
Successfully getting attention on social media as a brand can have its rewards (see: Cap’n Crunch jumping on Jay-Z’s lapels). But is certainly challenging given all the other noise out there (Like Manchester United’s loss?), while stunts like this (If it is a stunt) can apparently garner the necessary attention, they risk meeting an unwelcome reception once Twitter users find out the truth.
I would go along with the official report, but will keep a close tab on this.
I’m keen to hear your thoughts on this one, though.
