I Usually Don't Do Desktop PCs, But This Might Be My Only Exception.

Can’t remember the last time I used a desktop PC, probably in the early 90s, but this one?

HP introduced a funky-looking desktop PC yesterday that grabbed the attention of gamers around the world. It is called HP Omen X Desktop and it is equipped with the latest CPUs and GPUs for the best gaming and virtual reality experiences.

In case you are wondering if the above picture is a “Desktop PC,” yeah, it is! It’s a cube, with two stands holding the chassis upright. The desktop itself combines air and liquid cooling to dissipate heat, its unique chassis design also provides a good ventilation system.

Specs-wise, you are looking at a 4GHz Intel Core i7 Skylake processor, 8 GB worth of RAM, an AMD Radeon RX 480 video card with 4 GB of VRAM and a huge 1,300 W power supply. On the storage side, you’d get a 256 GB SSD and a 2 TB HDD. The HP Omen X Desktop allows you to fit about 10 USB cables — two USB-C and eight 3.0.

The price? To get this beast in PC form, you would need to cough up about $1,799, (This will get you an overclockable 4GHz Core i7, 8GB of RAM, Radeon RX 480 graphics, a 256GB SSD, a 2TB hard drive and a 1,300W power supply). If you want GeForce GTX 1080 or 16GB of RAM you’d have to pay about $2,100.
So, if you are a gamer with a big budget to spend on a VR-ready desktop capable of 4K gaming, please buy the HP Omen X, then allow me to use it for a week ? (Just for review purposes oh).

So, if you are a gamer with a big budget to spend on a VR-ready desktop capable of 4K gaming, please build your own PC, with that amount of money it’ll be 2X more powerful than this.

That power supply is too much for the specs even if you’re overclocking unless it’s an sli configuration………. chai what I would do with that system tho.
