I’d gotten my nTel SIM for a while now, but I’ve been procrastinating writing a post about it. Yes, nTel works in Lagos, precisely the Ikeja part of Lagos.
WHERE I GOT MY NTEL SIM
I went through a dealer, She actually delivered the SIM to my residence (At no extra cost) where I had it registered.
In case you are interested, you can give her a call, 07062479386 (Unyime). The SIM card is free, but you might need to subscribe to a plan. I am currently on the monthly unlimited plan which goes for N10,000
OTHER NTEL PLANS:
Unlimited: N100o for 2 days
Unlimited: N3,000 for a week.
HOW TO SET UP YOUR DEVICE
For devices like the Infinix Hot S, all you need to do is select LTE only and browse, but if you are using a Qualcomm device (Precisely the Galaxy S7), you have to download a 4G switcher app to connect to”LTE only”. You don’t need the app if your Qualcomm device has this in the settings.
NTEL’S SPEED TEST IN IKEJA, LAGOS
First, check out ntel’s speed test on my S7.
Finally, on the Infinix Hot S.
In case you think the results are poor, check out GLO’s speed test (Same location).
..And Etisalat’s (Same location, too).
Although this is a far cry from what was initially promised. (Let me refresh your memory)
I’d gladly take this over Etisalat and the likes since I’d be getting unlimited downloads and endless streaming on Apple music! ?
Moving forward, I would conduct several tests like this for other locations in Lagos, so stay glued. (Thanks Emma for the idea 🙂 ).
