It is raining devices at the MWC 2016 and Sony is not one to be left out. The company just unveiled the X series consisting of the Xperia X, XA and X Performance. (More detail on the X performance later).
The Xperia X and Xperia XA will have the same OmniBalance design Xperia devices are known for with an oblong side power button and smooth curved edges. However, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor in the Xperia X and XA is a huge letdown. (Rumor has it that the X Performance might have the Snapdragon 820 processor)
Since Sony is best known for their superb camera, there will be a new camera feature called the spontaneous capture that will allow you focus quickly on an object, you also get a hybrid autofocus that lets you choose a subject in the shot and predict their motion to eliminate blur.
When it comes to battery, Sony says the battery will run for up to two days, but didn’t give the exact battery juice. The X will have the premium look with a fingerprint-scanning home button and what appears to be a metal shell as opposed to a plastic shell.
Sony also showed off the Xperia Ear, an earpiece AI that will inform you of your schedule, news and weather, It will also respond to your voice commands, so you can tell it to make calls, make an Internet search or navigate to a location.
Specs-wise, we are looking at a 3 GB of RAM, up to 32 GB of storage, and a microSD slot for expansion. You also have a 2700mAh battery and a 23MP back-facing camera (with 5x Clear Image Zoom and ISO 12800 sensitivity) along with a 13MP front-facing camera. To top it off, we have the 5-inch device with a 1080p Full HD display.
This is a developing story….
