Oh No They Didn't! Facebook Accused Of Blocking Ads From Whatsapp Rivals

Just so you know, this is not the first accusation against Facebook.
It appears that the social media giant could be resorting to dirty tactics to remain on top – This is according to Hike Messenger, an India-based instant messaging platform. The company is accusing Facebook of blocking its ads thereby preventing potential customers from visiting.
According to a Hike spokesperson,“Advertisers have, among other options, the option to ‘send people to your website’. A few weeks back we were suddenly blocked from using this option while we were able to use other non action-led options.” When they contacted Facebook about this, the response from the social network was, “There are specific products and services that cannot be advertised on Facebook – looks like Hike is one of these. Unfortunately, you will not be able to run these ads.”
I am not sure if this is a bug, but bear in mind that we have two Whatsapp rivals – the first is telegraph – complaining about the same thing!
Now, let’s assume it’s not a bug, is it right for Facebook to block these ads?
Also bear in mind that this is their platform and they can choose to do whatsoever they want to, the same way Nairaland can do whatsoever it wants to.
