We’ve read so many articles on how to save our Smartphone’s (Android) battery lives, but this might still be foreign to some of you.
MEET THE DOZE APP
If you are still stuck on Android Kit Kat or Lollipop, there is a high chance you’ve not met Doze, a Marshmallow feature that allows your Android devices take a short sleep when nothing is going on, this involves automatically shutting down background processes and sensors.
However, like I said earlier, this feature is enabled by default on Android Marshmallow, but thanks to an amazing developer, non-marshmallow users can have a glimpse of what others have been enjoying for a while now.
The Doze app will save your battery by ensuring no background app is taking up data and causing battery drain. It does this without any root access but asks for confirmation to emulate a virtual VPN service to restrict network usage. You can also set the apps you don’t want to interrupt by clicking on the sun icon at the top-left corner
I tried life with and without the doze app and the results were noticeably impressive.
