A Chemical Engineer Becomes Nigeria's Minister of Science and Technology – See A Brief Profile

Meet our new Minister of Science and Technology, the 64-year-old Chemical Engineer, Mr. Ogbonnaya Onu. P.S: I think he is the first Chemical Engineer to be appointed in this office.
It appears the new Minister of Science and technology is also a smarty pant, According to Wikipedia, He obtained grade one with distinction in his West African School Certificate examination  and distinctions in Physics and Chemistry at the College of Immaculate Conception, Enugu where he also graduated as the best overall student. He also graduated with a first class honors degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Lagos.  He later travelled to the states where  he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, California, USA, in 1980, where he did extensive work on coal liquefaction and production of synthetic fuels under mild conditions.
Mr. Ogbonnaya has a website of his own, nothing out of the ordinary, but it helps that he is a bit tech savvy.
minsiter of science and technology
Asides being a Chemical Engineer, he is also a writer, his books include “Technology and National Development”, “Building a Modern Nigeria” and “A Footprint: Memoirs of a Chief Servant”.
Many people online are of the opinion that his age would affect his reign, what are your opinions?
