Meet HTC's New Hero – The A9, The First Non-Nexus Device to feature Android M

This year, HTC is relying on their latest device to save them from ruin. As reported earlier, HTC’s CEO is of the opinion that their latest flagship device can be a good alternative to the iPhone.
Without further ado, let me introduce you to HTC’s hero – The A9. We all know that the A9 is an exact replica of the iPhone. However, here are some little facts you might not know.
All images courtesy of Ubergizmo

The HTC A9 is a 5-inch device with a lot of side attractions

I am sure in this day and time, a 5-inch device is pretty small, but with an edge to edge glass that might be slightly curved and a new fingerprint reader that has been rumored to be faster than its competitors, you might not be so quick to complain.

It comes with a SIM Card and MicroSD Card tray on its Left side.

I bet you all know this, minus the left side addon.

It has a plastic top and a metal back

This is probably to accommodate the antenna and other radio needs of the phones. While the back of the phone is all metal (aluminum).

I repeat it looks exactly like the iPhone 6, However, You might be shocked to discover who was the first to copy.

Like Ubergizmo pointed out, it seems iPhone did a bit of copying too.

Camera might be little bit disappointing to some but can take RAW images

HTC goes back to proposing a megapixel (13) camera with an f2.0 aperture and optical image stabilization that can take RAW images

HTC A9 is a pace setter.

It is safe to say that the HTC A9 will be the first out of the box device to come with Android Marshmallow asides the Nexus device

You might be tempted to insult HTC for the battery size choice.

Which phone brand that is not Apple releases a device with a 2150mAh battery in 2015? However, reviewers are of the opinion that the battery isn’t so bad.

  2. Cirphrank says:

Itel, even lower. But the battery does more than expected, e.g itel 1406, 1500mAh last pretty much near 7hours of intense use even when just 96% charged.

  3. Emma says:

I’m glad you noted that HTC came up with that design before Apple.
Also there’s nothing disappointing about a 13 megapixel camera, as a tech blogger you should know that it’s not all about the megapixels.

  4. Nice phone but I hate non-removable battery phones!

  5. Is it on jumia already?

  6. KingAbsolute says:

  7. Dharn says:

One thing going for this device is the price that amazingly falls below 100k. That’s rear for a flagship these days.

  8. Ojo Oluwakayode Folusho says:

When will HTC start having sense and produce phones with higher battery capacity i love their phones they are sleek great camera and all but with their below 3000mah battery that is a big turn off for me.. hian
