This week, the Infinix Hot 2 was the most talked about device thanks to Google’s Android One Initiative. I got my personal unit yesterday and couldn’t wait to do an unboxing, a device review, and YASS! a comparison with Tecno’s Camon C8.
However, for today, join me in unboxing the Infinix Hot 2!
UNBOXING THE INFINIX HOT 2
The box packaging is nicely designed – nothing special. As you can see in the images below, there is an Android one tag by the side.
I should bring something to your notice, there is a condition on the package that states that the Infinix Hot 2 will only receive updates from Google for up to 2 years, after 2 years, Google will stop pushing OTA updates to the Phone.
Inside the box sits the 5-inch Infinix hot 2!
I got the Champagne Gold color but, bear in mind that in Nigeria, Infinix Hot 2 is available in 3 color variants, White, Gold, and Black.
Looking at the design, you should notice that the device bears similar resemblance to the Infinix Zero series, However, the Infinix Hot 2 isn’t as slim as the Infinix Zero and it comes with a removable battery and back cover.
As said in the previous post, the Infinix Hot 2 comes with a glass protection on the front and back. Also, when you open the back cover, you should see the dual Micro-sim slot and a MicroSD card slot.
POWERING UP THE INFINIX HOT 2
The first time you power up the device, you might need to wait for about 3 minutes or less for it to load up the OS, after that, you would be greeted with the android welcome screen
As seen in the spec sheet, the device comes with an Android 5.1 loaded with Google’s UI, a 16GB ROM (you only have 11.78 available) and a 2GB RAM.
That is all I can take for this unboxing, ensure you stay glued for an in-depth review and a comparison with the Camon C8.
What do you all think? Are you satisfied with receiving updates from Google for only two years?
Don’t forget that Jumia is your trusted bet if you are looking to get the Infinix Hot 2 as they are direct partners.
