Join MissTechy In Unboxing The InnJoo Fire

Guess what guys, MissTechy got a review unit of the Innjoo Fire yesterday – For your information, the InnJoo Fire is the latest device from InnJoo and would be  made available June 1st via the Jumia Megathon Week holding on Monday.
I was pretty excited and went straight to the task of unboxing  – So let’s unbox this together.

I must admit – InnJoo sure knows how to package. The InnJoo Fire comes in a beautiful red and white pack, I know the typical Nigerian would probably not give a hoot about packaging, but these little things count for me ( I still have my phone pack since 2012)

innjoo-fire-packaging-1WHAT IS IN THE BOX?

Upon unboxing the Innjoo Fire,  I  had a quick glance at the much talked about device and its accessories –  it comes with the basic accessories like the manuals, USB wall charger and a beautifully designed pack containing the earphones and USB cable.

I quickly disposed these and moved to the business of the day, At first glance, I noticed the 5.0 inch screen and the metal frame around the side, The back also came with a slight textured design  made with plastic and the Innjoo name boldly written on it.

Of course, the InnJoo Fire is a dual sim phone that is packed with a 2500mAh battery and an expandable Memory card space to accompany the 16GB ROM

The Innjoo Fire comes with the typical android UI and a 4.4.2 Kit-kat OS (Sorry guys, no Lollipop :'( ), I also noticed its fluidity, but you should bear in mind that no heavy app has been installed yet so we can’t give it a pass mark for now, did I tell you it comes with notification light? Well it does

The InnJoo Fires comes with a 5MP Front and Rear Camera ( Not so much in the camera department)

According to InnJoo, you can get the InnJoo Fire for … *drum rolls* …….. N17,000! – Yeah, I know, 2GB ram and it is still 17,000 naira – probably a good bargain!
Since I am more into what a device offers than how much it cost – I am going to go on a 2 day journey with the Innjoo Fire to see if it would break (FYI, I am a MEAN taskmaster), be sure to stay glued to MissTechy for the review.

In the meantime are you developing feelings for the Fire?

    Blood of God 🙂
    I give innjoo an8/10 rating…
What i am not really impressed about is the camera department. .5mp? 🙁
Shaaa na mtk user go get wahala.. .
    Proudly sdk.. 🙁
Battery 5mp? Hmmm fair shaaa considering the price tag..
Techy havehave you actually bought the phone?
Or jumia gave you to use to make posts and retreturn afterwards 🙁
Na joke i dey oo 🙂

Vj , its a review copy. Review copies are not returned. Once given , it’s yours forever.
The phone is pretty decent. But I dislike the camera. 5MP is too poor. In the end , its a budget phone and the price is quite affordable. I will probably get one for my mum .(She has been disturbing me to get her a new phone).

      1. Kay says:

For the price; me thinks the camera is ok. also consider the 2GB ram size for 17k! 😀

        1. Kelvin says:

Lol, have you used a phone with 5MP camera?. I have ! And I tell you , the picture quality is terrible!

          1. Kay says:

you meant to ask; “have you used an ‘entry level’ phone with a 5mp camera” I suppose.
Because, back in 2010 while using the Samsung Corby Pro (3.2mp) I was pretty impressed (camera-wise)
But then again, I am not the cam-type: I don’t really care if the camera is 0.3mp, just give me awesome specs in the other departments! 😀

          2. Kelvin says:

Lol. As a blogger , you need to worry about smartphone camera. Except you have a professional camera for taking pictures.

          3. Kay says:

Thanks to Nikon, I can get a point and shoot with 20mp for less than 16k. – Great for blogging don’t ya think? huh? 🙂

          4. Tobi Ayeni says:

Lol perfect, getting a Nikon D3100 camera next week ^_^ …pretty excited

          5. Anonymous says:

Tobi , is that camera available on konga or jumia?

          6. Tobi Ayeni says:

Hello Anony , I got it from Jumia.

          7. Kay says:

            That’s pretty high-end 😀
But it’s worth it though considering the fact that the lens is 18mm- 55mm (blogtreprenuer recommends anything higher than 26mm) and it can shoot 1080p vids.
Way to go girl. Are you considering Vlogging 😛
BTW why not pick the newer 3200 with better features

          8. Tobi Ayeni says:

Konga and Jumia didn’t have it – Plus Jumia was giving a discount on the D3100

          9. innocent says:

Yaayyyy…that’s a good entry level dslr n should cover your needs even though I don’t fully know what they are

  2. vjsmiles says:

    Thanks guys…

  3. Kay says:

    Quick Question Tobi.
How “premium looking” is the plastic?

    1. Kelvin says:

      Can I answer that?
The phone isn’t entirely plastic. It has metal finishing at the edges. Hands on , it has a very solid feel which I really love. It dosent really look cheap although I find the black colour very dull (I love Phones with white cases).
******I Haven’t used the phone yet , but I got a chance to play with it for few mins during the launch****

      1. Kay says:

So for you the design (overall) is a win aii?

        1. Kelvin says:

Yes , the design is a win.
Lol. Call me a phone racist if you like 😛 I love phones with white cases ! Period!
Gionee Elife E5 made me love Phones with white cases. The Phone is very slim and the white case made it more attractive. People can’t help but stare at the phone whenever am holding it. Sadly , it was stolen just 3weeks after I bought it (was my fault).

          1. Kay says:

It’s because of people like you folks had to pay additional 5-10k on “colourless” blackberries (with little or change in the hardware) that year. 😛

  4. EmmanuelIK says:

The people complaining about the 5mp camera obviously know very little about cameras, I remember my Nokia N96 had a 5mp camera but even now it takes better pictures than most phones with higher megapixel count
Just remember its not about the megapixels.

    1. EmmanuelIK says:

Also try this out, compare the quality of the Lumia 630’s 2mp camera with your any higher mp camera and you’ll know what I’m talking about.
      From a 2mp camera

      1. Kay says:

If you read the comments properly you’d come across the part where I complimented my Corby pro with 3mp.
        And look:
you are comparing Nokia’s cam with “entry level” phones’. Do not forget Nokia’s pure view and 1020 has one of the best phone cameras around.

        1. EmmanuelIK says:

Yes but that is the product of a 2mp camera, it’s just to show how megapixels are not everything.

          1. SweetSusie says:

            You look familiar @emmanuel

  5. innocent says:

These people just keep showing us how cheap it is to make phones…the 2GB ram is a big plus

    1. Tobi Ayeni says:

As in! I wonder why the “big boys” charge so much for their phones.

  6. BOJ says:

Modest phone at a really good price. 2gb ram and 16gb internal memory shows u get good value for your money . Good thing the battery is removable since most phones don’t offer that feature anymore.

    1. Kay says:

And I am still wondering what they are up to sticking the batteries into the phones. 😕

  7. Moses says:

It’s a very good phone. The only down point about it is its 5mp rear camera.

    1. Tobi Ayeni says:

True, however, the 5mp isn’t so bad – watch out for the full review

  8. EmmanuelIK says:

I just noticed something, MissTechy did you edit these images with a WindowsPhone?

      1. EmmanuelIK says:

The images of the Innjoo for the article.

        1. Tobi Ayeni says:

Oh – no I edited them with photoshop

          1. EmmanuelIK says:

  10. The phone looks ok….though the finishing of the phone looks poor and again why in heaven’s will injoo put a 5mp front and rear camera at this time. In fact 17k is crap……12k sounds better. injoo has to it up…

    1. Tobi Ayeni says:

🙂 Nice to see you here Andrew, using the phone at the moment, i’d do a review especially about the camera

      1. Anonymous says:

Can’t wait to see the review….don’t do any ojooro o….lol

        1. Tobi Ayeni says:

Lol trust me – no mago mago – no wayo ^_^

  11. Sir Stevoe says:

NICE… Hope to see more future reviews @Miss Techy 🙂
BTW. still on the camera ish… it’s not always about the mega pixels, its about the quality. Of the camera. You can never compare Tecno’s 13mp with Nokia or Samsung’s 8mp, or even 5mp! #fact

  12. vjsmiles says:

    How you wan compare?

  13. victor says:
