The Most Used Android OS As At May 4th 2015

It would be amazing to note that less than 10% of Android users have Lollipop OS Installed on their smartphones. If there are only 10% of Android users using Lollipop currently, how would they latch onto the Android M OS coming this year.

    Some brands in Nigeria hate handing out updates. It is a marketing strategy to get more sales.

    I doubt that Lolipop will ever gain as much share of the market (especially Nigeria) as Jellybean and Kitkat did.
    Taking Nigeria as a case study;
    Think about it, should M be released, producers wouldn't dare ship out phones with L cos it'll be considered obsolete (esp. when most "OGAS" in Nigeria donot support OTA).
    Buh I could be wrong you know, There's already an update for L (5.1), and more seem to be on the way – Hence delay in time for M's launch, and longer time for L to gain traction.
    Make we just dey look sha! ๐Ÿ˜€

    Why wouldn’t the figures be low when the updates are mostly available on new releases and high end phones when most users are on the mid-range ones.

  17. Badoo says:

    And I can’t believe that people are actually still using From. Maybe they are Still waiting for an update?

  18. Badoo says:

    Maybe more people will be on lollipop by the time, Android O is out.
