FaceBook Video Calling Feature Takes On FaceTime
Please ignore my hashtag X_X
Facebook has launched their video calling feature on Facebook Messenger – and as usual this feature is available to everyone. This feature allows you enjoy face-to-face conversations with family and friends (what you already have available on Facetime and Skype), the only difference is Facebook offers you a larger friend list (A similar example is Whatsapp vs BBM)
Starting off a video call from any conversation can be accomplished with just a single tap. Assuming you are messaging with someone and figured out that your vocabulary is not good enough to express your emotions, all you have to do is select the video icon that is located in the top right corner of the screen and dassol.
The Facebook Video Calling feature started rolling out yesterday for iOS and Android users in Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, France, Greece, Ireland, Laos, Lithuania, Mexico, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, the UK, the US and Uruguay, so if you haven’t got the feature yet – do well to update your app.
According to various reports, Facebook making this available for IOS and Android has spoilt the market for Facetime (Though, I don’t think Apple is competing with anybody – they are bad like that).
However, I honestly think Facebook is trying to achieve Internet dominance by ensuring that they integrate their platform into every aspect of your lives like a boss!
So to all the IPhone users, which of the faces would you be rocking – FaceBook or FaceTime?
