Imagine Giving You $5 Million To Hold The New Sony Phone
In order qualify to get this awoof , Send me your nudes, 20 to be precise – I’d post them on MissTechy 😀 and voila you get the money 😀
I am just kidding oh abeg – I don’t even have $50,000 in my account – however reports have it that Sony offered Daniel Craig ( James Bond) a $5 million fee for him to hold the forthcoming Sony’s Smartphone in the new James Bond Movie “Spectre” launching November 6 and guess what guys?
You guessed right!
Daniel Craig and Spectre director Sam Mendes turned down the offer
When $5 million isn’t enough money to hold a phone, you know you have made it in this life, they should just give me $100,000, what is hold mschew – I would dance with the phone, sing with the phone, eat with the phone – what am I saying?? – if they ask me to marry the phone in the movie – SO BE IT!
The leaked Emails which was published on Thursday via Wikileaks revealed the process Sony and the Bond team went through in discussing the partnership. The emails outlined the offer as such: “Today … Sony Electronics has so far budgeted the following: $18MM ATL Advertising commitment [and] $ 5MM Daniel Craig FEE.” However, that wasn’t enough to tempt Craig or the rest of the film’s crew.
Asides the $5million factor, the email claimed that another reason why they rejected the offer was because James Bond only uses the ‘best,’ and in their minds, the Sony phone is not the ‘best’ …POW!
Sorry, Sony 🙁
Also, In the mail thread, Samsung made a product placement offer of its own: Samsung was willing to give a $5 million fee for its phones appearing in the movie, but a higher marketing spend of $50 million to promote it. ( I am guessing that is why they rejected my poor Sony *rme*)
There were no conclusions made in the mail as to which phone brand Daniel Craig would use in the movie – however, this gets to show us that $5million don’t mean squat – if your “phone is not cool enough” (Sorry Sony Fans – Daniel Craig’s word not mine)
Can’t wait for the release of Spectre to see which phone Bond thinks is best.
