It also comes in various colors for you to choose from

After seeing this, I was pretty excited because this would be a first from Tecno Mobile,  but the Boom J7 specifications left a sour taste in the mouth -See some of the specifications below:

Processor Power The Tecno Boom J7  boasts of 1.3GHz Quad Core processor
Memory and Storage Tecno Boom J7 comes with a 16GB internal memory and a tiny 1GB RAM.
Camera Tecno Boom J7 comes with an 8MP autofocus rear camera and a 2MP front camera which is really really poor though
Display and Design Tecno J7 brings you an awesome experience with a 5-inch display. It has a screen resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels and a dimension size of 143mm ×71.9mm ×8.93mm.
Battery Specifications Tecno Mobile has given the Tecno Boom J7 a 2020mAh battery capacity. This is not the best neither is it the worst.
SIM CARD Dual Sim – Normal + Micro
OS Android Kit-Kat
Price Rumors has it that the Tecno Boom J7 would be within the 20 – 30k price bracket.

See an Unboxing video below:

In my opinion, the Price seems to make up for the lack of better specs. Moving forward, We really can’t wait to test out audio quality because a lot of emphases have been placed on it.
What do you think, with the “Price” speculation, is this Phone a Yay or Nay?

Tecno? Thanks but no thanks. The specs aside, i feel they could have come up with something more appealing.

  7. Firstly… we have to understand the theme of the phone. You don't need much to enjoy good music except powerful speakers, headset… in fact, it's centred around hardware. I think Tecno is smart, they're biting into the music industry. Soon, ya'll will find out what's behind the boom J. #digdeep

    1. KENSHI says:

I like how you beautifully considered the minds of the Boom J makers, kinda like you were with them at the drawing board. LOOOL. It’s funny to see people miss the point of the products and I think it’s because of a certain prejudice they have. Your opinion on this matter is very convincing.

  8. cicily says:

  9. JP says:

d phone looks so catchy buhh a glorified Nokia xpress music.
d specs r way too poor
Excepts just brought it as sample for d one yet to come
Techno should keep d price for nothing more than N18,000

  10. Neil says:

Heya i’m for the first time here. I came across this board and I find It really useful & it helped me out a lot. I hope to provide one thing again and help others such as you helped me.

  11. sankara says:

It is important to note that this is not Tecno's flagship model, that is why its specs do not rival that of Samsung S6 or Sony Z. Personally I think it looks better and has superior specs when compared to other brands within the same price bracket.

    1. Tobi Ayeni says:

      Well true talk sha @sankanra

  12. Judes says:

The spec is even better than most phone brand. 16gb internal memory? That is cool for the price joor.

  13. Gori says:

Hmm. The phone is OK. Just OK from an average point of view, but for that price, it is too high for such a low spec sheet. Missteehy, keep it up. I would keep a tab on you.

    1. Tobi Ayeni says:

Awww Gori – Thanks so much 🙂

  14. gift says:

wow! D phone is great,i wish to ave one…yeaaaa

  19. Sir Stevoe says:
