MEET THE NEW MACBOOK
The New MacBook was launched on the 9th of March 2015 and guess what guys.. I AM MADLY, DEEPLY, TRULY, GAGALY, STUPIDLY in love with it. According to Tim Cook, The new MacBook is the world’s most energy-efficient notebook.
The New Macbook practically gave me an orgasm, It was love at first screen.
For those who don’t have an idea of what I am talking about, Let me introduce you to my soon to be Baby (thanks to the contribution you would make :D)
Weighing only 2 pounds, The New Macbook is the thinnest and lightest Notebook ever, It is also 24% thinner than the 11-inch MacBook Air. My baby comes in Space Grey, Silver and Gold and is the first fanless MacBook. Not only does this save space it also ensures you don’t hear it when it runs.. *whispering: my baby doesn’t like to shout*
Apple decided to use a new butterfly mechanism instead of a scissor-switch which makes each key more stable, more precise, and 40% thinner. Each key is four times more stable and has a 17% larger surface area.
There’s also a LED under every key, so the entire keyboard has a uniform glow when it is light or dark (This is nothing new, but I don’t care).
The new MacBook has a gorgeous 12-inch Retina display that runs at 2,304 x 1,440 resolution. It packs over 3 million pixels into the thinnest Mac Retina display yet. Every single pixel has been re-engineered to let more light through. So the Retina display uses 30% less energy to produce the same brightness as other Mac Retina displays. The panel itself is just 0.88 millimetres thick and instead of going with a Broadwell i5 or i7 like with the MacBook Air, the new MacBook will start with a 1.1GHz dual-core Intel Core M configurable up to 1.3 GHz, with an Intel HD graphics 5300 chip, a Bluetooth 4.0 and an 802.11ac networking.
The new MacBook has a new pressure-sensitive Force Touch trackpad which lets you do things that a traditional pad can’t. The Force Touch trackpad has force sensors that detect how much pressure you apply on its surface, it can also tell the difference when you light tap it or deep press it. Another mind-blowing fact is it comes with a taptic engine that gives you feedback, so you don’t just see what is happening while you are using the laptop — you feel it, too.
Another cool feature that I liked about the touchpad is, The harder you press on the trackpad, the faster you can fast-forward through a QuickTime movie.
The Logic board of the New Macbook is 67% smaller than the one in the 11-inch MacBook air, also the inbuilt Core M runs on just 5 watts of battery; these two factors offers you a longer lasting battery.
ONE CABLE FOR EVERYTHING
Lastly, the New Macbook gives you a USB-C port, what this means is that you are getting five ports in one. So instead of so many USB ports, you would be getting Power, USB data transfer, Display Port, HDMI, and VGA capabilities all in one single port.
It doesn’t have a SD card slot, also most people might not like the Inbuilt Intel Core M, which is like a Part laptop ( like the Core I processors) and part tablet (like the Intel Atom processors in Windows tablets and other gadgets). Lastly, The Type C adapter for the USB-C port cost about $79.
The base model with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD will cost $1,299 (N257,202 @ 198 naira per dollar) while the 512GB SSD option will cost $1,599 (N316,602 @ 198 naira per dollar). Apple would start shipping the new MacBook by April 10..
PLEASE ALL I WANT IS THE 256SSD ONE, WHO IS GOING TO BUY ONE FOR ME WHEN IT COMES OUT I AM BEGGING.. I CAN WASH PLATE & COOK SOUP.
