“What’s a computer? Just ask Cortana” Is Microsoft’s latest mockery of the iPad Pro.

Microsoft and comparison ads:

The thing is, almost everyone was offended over the “iPad Pro is a computer” ad by Apple. Of course, one company that took that ad to heart is Microsoft, who in turn made a mockery ad out of it.

The ad (Above), which was uploaded yesterday started with a conversation between Siri and Cortana. The iPad is supposedly throwing a party to celebrate its keyboard:

“I just got a keyboard, I’m a computer now, like you,” the iPad Pro says in the ad. “So you have more power, like an Intel Core i7 processor?” the Surface Pro 4 responds.

“Like I said, I just got a keyboard”

The ad ends by claiming that “Surface does more, just like you.”

Now, considering the fact that Microsoft doesn’t have a great track record when they poke fun at other devices in ads. (I don’t know if anyone remembers the “Private” iPhone funeral ad back in 2010

(Apple be like, look at me now).

..And the Pawn Stars calling Chromebooks “not a real computer” ad (Now, Chromebook adoption rate has significantly increased, especially in Schools)).

I feel that they (Microsoft) might have succeeded in showing uninformed consumers that you can now get an iPad with a keyboard.

Back to the ad, whether or not iPad (With a keyboard) fits the description of a computer is an argument that might get some knickers in a twist.
