#ThrowBack — Thank You, Microsoft Paint for Allowing Me to Create Cringe-worthy Photos Like This One.

Reasons why you shouldn’t laugh at this picture:

  1. I was still a fresher (100 level) when this happened
  2. I designed and posted it thinking it was cool
  3. It took a lot of COURAGE to use this picture in this article.

Anyway, before Photoshop came and took over my life, there was an application called Paint — it was the first app I used for editing images. So, you can understand why I felt sad when I read that my Paint might be replaced by the new app, Paint 3D. According to the report, Microsoft will not provide future updates or new features for Paint, which is usually a telltale sign that they are about to kill it.

However, Microsoft clarified that Paint isn’t going away completely:

“MS Paint is here to stay, it will just have a new home soon, in the Windows Store where it will be available for free.”

Which, is a huge sigh of relief.

So, here is to Paint:

Thank you for being my first love.
