I have a confession to make. I thought about giving up on Misstechy this week, and the week before that. Before jumping to conclusions, it’s not because I am not getting enough money from blogging, quite the opposite.
Prior to MissTechy, I had always thought Tech was an interesting/fun niche. Nothing beats the thrill of discovering a new tech invention or trying to find a solution to a problem using technology. And even if I might not be a Miss-know-all when it comes to tech, I felt like sharing my perspective on tech. However, I didn’t realize something important: Blogging isn’t for the faint-hearted and yeah, you can call me a coward.
The words in the picture made me see things differently.
Even though some people might not like what I do, or how I do it, there are so many people who do and I shouldn’t let those who don’t, take my eyes away from the goal. Although it hurts to see these comments, especially when you are not in the entertainment niche (Big ups to those who are and still stay strong), I’ve realized that if people are talking, it only means you are doing something worthy enough to grab their attention.
So I’ve made a promise to myself:
Never again will I feel bad about negative comments.
Never again will I lose focus because of a threat.
Never again will I think of giving up when I haven’t even started or achieved anything.
Happy Techilicious Sunday everyone.
