Do You Still Use the Windows Media Player on Your PC?

I remember installing about 5 media players during my university days—VLC, Zune, GOM Media, RealPlayer, and Winamp. But I can’t for the life of me remember why I always go back to the default Windows Media Player for my music needs.

Fast forward to 2016, and I’m not sure if Windows Media Player could have retained the position it held in school and I am guessing Microsoft also feels the same because they intend to remove WMP from the next Windows 10 update (KB4046355) —Yes, you will no longer see the Windows Media Player by default on your PC.

But do you really need it?

For those who do, you could still install it by going to “Add a Feature,” Open Settings, go to Apps > Apps & Features and click on Manage optional features.
