Prior to this, You’d probably send your PowerPoint presentations via an email or Dropbox, but that will soon be an old school method. Now, you can easily share your powerpoint presentations on Twitter and Facebook thanks to a PowerPoint plugin called Social Share which allows you to share your individual slides as images and your entire presentation as a photo album. You can also package your presentation as a video with the PowerPoint animations still intact.
Asides that, The plug-in also adds a pane to PowerPoint, where you can see comments people leave on your shared presentations without leaving the app
According to Vidyaraman Sankaranarayanan, the senior program manager of the Wildfire team that built the tool:
If you’re in a conference, you could post your PowerPoint to Twitter and present to an audience and then you could look up the comments in the social activity pane and address them during the Q&A part of the session.
The plugin is 805kb in size, but you will need an Internet connection to install it. Once installed, it creates a tab on PowerPoint that allows you share your files easily.
How cool is that?
