This Nigerian Game Wants to Help You Fight Against Principalities & Powers.

Want to know the first thing I did when I heard about Anointed? I Googled Christian games for Android.

Yeah, they were a couple of them, but none had the elements Anointed had.

What elements, you ask?

Fighting against the enemies (Poverty, terror and what not) using the Bible.

It even has a Christian vibe to it — you’d be greeted with “Jehovah you are the most high” instrumentals when you launch the game and all through the game. The free game which was developed by the guys at Yinola takes you on a Christian warfare. You get to meet Laftu, our Christian brother who fights against the devil and his weapons.

Your job is to help Laftu conquer these principalities and powers by tapping on them before they disappear into their holes —you get coins for every enemy conquered. You are also working against the clock so you need to be quick to avoid the enemies firing at you.

For every shot fired against the enemy, you get a hallelujah chant.

I give them a 6 and that’s because I couldn’t help but notice that Anointed had a lot of ads specifically from Jiji (As if we don’t have “Jiji that’s my guy” to deal with).

There was a point in which it became super annoying

It also felt like I was defeating poverty way too many times.

I should have defeated poverty at level one and moved to other vices

And yeah, if you love intensive/highly challenging games, this might not be for you — things started to heat up only after level 10.

But the Christian kids and adults (especially those who attend deliverance churches) would enjoy this:

Overall, not bad!

Anointed is available on iOSAndroid, and Windows devices —Can the Windows fans give a big hallelujah?
