Misplaced Priorities? LG Shows Off the Level of Effort Needed to Produce the V30 Wallpapers.

I don’t know how many of you have seen the video that shows how LG made the V30’s wallpaper. This video:

If you are like me, you probably thought that the creation process only involves a designer, but you’ll be surprised by the level of effort needed to produce the said wallpaper. From building plastic models of the V30 logo to the expert positioning of different colored laser beams to refract light, it’s a surprisingly complex process. A process that requires a lot of time, money and effort.

Here is a similar video for the G6

To be honest, I don’t how to feel about this:

The thing is, I can’t help but think that this is a waste of time and money for a wallpaper that will be replaced by the consumer. Don’t even get me started on how that time can be used to market their devices properly!!

On the other side of things, this portrays LG as a brand that pays close attention to details.
