Photo freaks, Adobe just brightened your day!
After the launch of Photoshop Fix, a robust app that makes it easier to touch up portrait photos on iOS, the company has announced the Android version! Android users can now enjoy an advanced portrait retouch tool, courtesy of Adobe. On the feature end, you have some basic tools like exposure, contrast, and saturation. However, what makes Photoshop Fix different is that it comes with features like Liquify, to get that plastic surgery effect. Smooth, allows you to tweak the facial features of a subject, and Healing tool, to remove parts of the image you don’t like.
Adobe also announced the Sketch app, an app that allows users to draw with pens, markers, pencils, erasers, ink brush and many other objects to create artwork. One unique feature is that you can send your artwork as layered files to Adobe Photoshop CC or Illustrator.
These apps are no replacement for the full Photoshop, but it is free, and it’s nice to have that kind of power on your phone.
I found two issues with the apps, though. For one, Photoshop fix doesn’t come with filters, so you’ll still need another app to do that. Also, I had to sign up for an Adobe account (If you don’t have one) to use these apps.
If this doesn’t bother you, you can give it a try and let me know what you think.
