But that is the name of Huawei’s new device — there are other Maimang devices, but this is the latest in the series. And just like other devices launched this year from Samsung, Apple and LG, the Huawei Maimang 6 is sporting an 18:9 screen.
That is not the only unique feature, though. You also get a “quad-camera” system — two cameras on the back, 16 and 2 megapixels, and two on the front, 13 and 2 megapixels— not groundbreaking but still cool for a device that is about $364.
As for the remaining specs, the device is a 5.9-inch 2160×1080 screen with noticeable bezels on the top, bottom, and sides of the device. You also get a Kirin 659 processor with four cores clocked at 2.36GHz and other four cores at 1.7GHz, 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of expandable storage. There’s a non-removable 3,340 mAh battery inside and an Android 7.0 OS.
(I doubt if this would launch in Nigeria)
Coming in at $364 (N141,000), do you think the Huawei Maimang 6 is overpriced for the processor it houses?
Meanwhile, something tells me Infinix or Tecno might launch their 18:9 devices pretty soon.
